Here are some belly pictures. The first two are from Dec 30, 2011 (24 weeks pregnant) and the third is from a couple of days ago, just before 37 weeks.
*the house looks really bright red in the pictures. It doesn't look that red in real life.

What's the date?

I'm almost 37 weeks (which is when Dante was born) and so I thought it would be fun to have a little guessing game. When do you think the baby will come? No complications like we were having with Dante, so we are going for a "natural" delivery this time, no scheduling.

Here are a few informational dates to help guide the guesses:
Apr 2, 37 weeks (lungs fully developed for most babies and ok for baby to be born);
Apr 23, 40 weeks (current "due date");
Apr 30, 41 weeks (I've gone far enough and since I am a "higher risk" delivery, the doc doesn't want me going past 41 weeks because the risk of still birth increases)

The rules:
1. Anyone in the family can guess
2. Pick up to two dates
3. It's ok to pick the same date as someone else

(I'll update the dates as people guess.)

Current Guesses:
April 5 - Erin's birthday
April 8 - Chris' birthday
April 10 - Lilia's birthday
April 18 - Sarah, Adam (thanks to the full moon of April 17)
April 19 - Chris
April 20 - Stephen
April 21 -
April 22 -
April 23 - Laura, Connie
April 24 - Jennifer
April 25 - Connie, LeAnn (Sarah's mom)
April 26 -
...
April 27 -
April 28 - Sarah, Stephen, Adam, Jarom
April 29 - Laura

Phew...

The quarter is over and I managed to turn everything in.  I feel so much better. My next quarter should be my last and I won't have to go to class anymore. My celebration is a bit premature, but I'm happy nonetheless. I will be working on my comprehensive exams for the next few months. The trick will be to prepare now so that once I actually have the questions the writing will be much easier. Once I've been given the questions I usually have only two weeks to write 50 plus pages of graduate level analysis. It will be interesting to do that and try and work full-time. I'm not too worried though because I know it can be done.

I love all of you very much. Thank you for all your support.

I was hoping that these colors would show up better. We like the red (Shaker Red) for the body of the house and the white (Plymoth Beige) for the trim. What we can't decide is the gable color. the one on the left is called Britches and is a little bit lighter than the one on the right, which is called Wooly Thyme. Does anyone want to give us their two cents?
Love you all. Sorry I have been dominating the blog with house stuff.

1- The roof and shingles are complete!
2- The "rustic"guard rail. (we had all of the kids there when the framer was there. I think he was nervous that the kids were going to fall down the stairs because when we came back later the guard rail was there.
3- Drywall for the basement.

1- More shingles and roof (which is good because it is supposed to rain and snow all weekend).
2- upstairs fireplace.
3- front gables (they didn't do it before because the porch concrete pad had not been poured yet. Now that we have a porch they have columns and can add the front gables)
